OCR: ASSESSMENT IN ACTION Each child has his or her own Achievement Record and, as the unique educational games are played, progress is recorded in at least 36 different areas. By moving the mouse pointer around, a parent or teacher can see at a glance how the child is performing. The following are examples of achievements obtained as Colin played the Structured Spelling games: Colin has tried 3 of the challenges with varying degrees of success. Look at the box under the 10 out of 1 0 pointer in Colin's record (above). It is green showing he achieved 100% on recognising rhyming words. If the box was yellow it would mean he achieved between 50% and 99%. A red box would mean he needs practice - under 50% achieved. After Colin has played for a while a parent or teacher can see his strengths and where he needs practice. You can now print a complete summary and Colin can print his own certificate showing his green achievements. Like Structured spelling (above) some of the products for younger children even award stars and medals too! Back Click to see some action!
